Transfer Oversight Committee

The Minnesota State Colleges & Universities Transfer Oversight Committee is a standing committee that is a sub-committee of the Academic Affairs Council.

Purpose: The committee’s purpose is to review course and credit and student transfer issues and information and to provide recommendations for enhancement of course and credit transfer to the Vice Chancellor for Academic and Student Affairs. This includes oversight of the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum originally developed and amended by the faculty collaborative process and legislation. The committee’s oversight assures appropriate, high-quality education for students who transfer within the Minnesota State system.

Responsibilities:

   1.   Development of criteria to evaluate the functioning of the MnTC.
   2.   Monitoring of data on transfer students.
   3.   Identification and discussion of student, faculty and staff issues and concerns relating to transfer and the Minnesota Transfer Curriculum (MnTC). 

Member Appointments:  The Transfer Oversight Committee is comprised of college and university faculty, college and university students; college and university transfer specialists; university service faculty representative; professional employee staff member; and college and university administrators.

Meeting Times and Dates:  The Transfer Oversight Committee will meet for four hours as least wo and up to four times per academic year, during each academic year, and additional meetings may be scheduled as the workload dictates.
